Thursday (3:7:13) we became acquainted with the small but mighty DVI cameras. Don’t be fooled by their cut
e-as-a-bug appearance – they are wildly capable and will serve us well for this unit on video.
To prepare for our lab exercise, which we’ll complete in class on Tuesday, we reviewed the five-shot method and sequencing. Then, working in teams, students shot and downloaded footage of a simple video sequence. The goal is to edit the footage into a concise, time-lapsed sequence that makes total sense. We’ll be sharing the final films on a YouTube playlist.
Shelby Reynolds has agreed to talk to us Tuesday about the finer points of videography. We’ll also be discussing the third project, the 4 O’clock Oakland package.
Meanwhile, don’t forget about your Cans submission.
